Pembrokeshire Advocacy held its Annual General Meeting on October 27th at the The Bridge, Hakin, Milford Haven where we celebrated another successful year representing the views and wishes of people with learning disabilities throughout Pembrokeshire. Pembrokeshire People First held its Annual General Meeting and Conference on October 13th. Details about this event are found on the Pembrokeshire People First page on this website.

The Family Group recently took part in training 53 Dyfed Powys Police Hate Crime Support Officers - a real chance to make a difference.

Two members of the Family Group were invited to attend the Baring Foundation's reception in Central London as recognition of the important work they have undertaken in the Welsh Assembly's research into the experiences of parents with learning disabilities.

 

Sophie Hinksman, Lucy Hinksman, Gethin and Pam attended the All Wales People First's conference in Llandrindod Wells in mid September where the impact of potential funding cuts was discussed and the importance of campaigning to uphold people's rights to essential services in difficult times.
